Welcome to The Standup. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the standup.kynth.studio website, its archive and its email alerts. The Standup is a product of Kynth Studios. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Standup, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or subscribe.

Subscriptions and Billing

The Standup is an automated news wire for software releases, vendor changelogs, security advisories and platform outages. The wire, the full searchable archive and the daily digest are free to read — nothing on this site is gated. Membership is optional and supports the wire: $9 per month or $72 per year, billed in advance through Stripe and renewing automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal linked on your receipt; cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for a period already begun. Prices may change on renewal with notice.

Intellectual Property

The Standup aggregates published facts. Every item links to the source that published it, and the headline, release notes and advisory text belong to that source, not to us. What we own is the wire itself: our selection, the summary lines, the rendered cards, the site and its design. You may read, quote and link to items freely; you may not resell, redistribute or systematically scrape the archive.

User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the site: no automated bulk retrieval of the archive, no reselling access, no sharing member credentials, and nothing that interferes with the service for other readers.

Third-Party Links and Content

The Standup links out to third-party sites for every item it publishes, and we do not control them. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or policies, and a link is not an endorsement.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Standup is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. The wire is automated: items are collected from public feeds and published without a human reading each one. We do not guarantee that an item is complete, current or correct, that an alert will arrive, or that it will arrive in time. Nothing here is security advice — an advisory on this site is not a substitute for your own vendor notifications, and you must not rely on The Standup as your only source of security or outage information.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kynth Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of The Standup, including any loss arising from an alert that was late, wrong or never sent. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date below, and for changes affecting billing we will email members in advance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
